Who is responsible for your information

FYNDR is the responsible party for the personal information collected through this store, as that term is used in POPIA. Our Information Officer is registered with the Information Regulator and can be reached at hello@fyndr.online.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number.
• Delivery details: delivery and billing address.
• Order information: what you bought, when, and order history.
• Payment information, processed by our payment gateway. We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical and usage information: device type, browser, pages viewed, and similar analytics data, collected only where you have accepted cookies.
• Support correspondence: messages you send us by email, form or WhatsApp.

Why we process it, and on what basis

We process personal information only for the purposes it was collected for: fulfilling and delivering your order, handling payments, providing support, meeting our legal and tax obligations, and, where you have opted in, sending you marketing. The lawful bases we rely on are performance of our contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in running the store safely, and your consent where consent is required.

Who we share it with

We share personal information with operators who process it on our behalf and under written agreement: our payment gateway, our courier partners for delivery, our email and hosting providers, and our analytics provider. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Transfers outside South Africa

Some of our service providers host data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we transfer information only in line with section 72 of POPIA, to recipients subject to laws or binding agreements that provide an adequate level of protection.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept for as long as South African tax and company law requires. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Support correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for resolving your query.

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable service providers to safeguard personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent to marketing at any time, without affecting your order.
• Ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
